Hilltin Country Homestay commands beautiful elevated views of rural Otorohanga and on a clear day Mt Ruapehu, two hours South. Auckland is two hours north and everything else you could want is less than two hours away; Waitomo is just 10 minutes and the Kiwi House is five minutes. We have a large room with four single beds (guest share) and a private double bedroom. Guests share a bathroom and toilet. All bedding, towels and soap provided, along with a hot or continental breakfast of your choice. Tariffs are $80 for the double room per night, and $40 for a single bed per person per night. We have 12 free range chickens and a very friendly Jack Russell called Freckles. Guided night walks are offered free of charge (taking your vehicle) to see the glowworms in the bush, a wonderful and unique experience.
