Tawa Lodge and Totara Cabin are set in 30 acres - 15 acres of native bush with walkways to enjoy the magic of New Zealand's native flora and fauna and 15 acres of farmland with cattle, sheep, hens, ducks, a horse and Maggie, the Huntaway dog.

"Pooh's House", in a native Puriri tree, has enchanted many visitors, plus many other quirky attractions at Rangimarie.

A bush bath enclosed on 3 sides overlooks the river and is a magical experience on a moonlight night. A large pizza oven is available for guest use and we can provide all the ingredients for you to cook your own pizzas. If you wish, a more formal dinner can be provided by prior arrangement, served on your private deck or with your hosts. Picnic lunches can also be provided, so you can wander off for the day to explore the countryside at your leisure.

"Rangimarie" is the Maori word for peaceful place and that is the essence of this little slice of New Zealand, a place to relax and enjoy the sounds of river and birds
