Activities

The Mission and the Expedition were created to put the adventure back into Adventure Tourism in a cave called Luckie Strike. Luckie Strike was discovered in the 1950's and NZ's caving community rate it as one of the most challenging and beautiful caves in Waitomo - full of wet streams, waterfalls, big chambers,rooms and passages full of crystal formations. There are canyons to traverse, drops to abseil, rock walls and waterfalls to climb. Because we own the cave there is no pressure to put lots of people through the trip. Our qualified instructors can teach skills and their job is to help you do the trip yourself.
The Mission was designed for those who do not have much time to stay in Waitomo or just want a taste of caving, without anything too full on.
The Expedition was designed to be able to push people. It goes further into the cave and you have longer underground. You do more and see more. We give you free photos and a small snack in the cave.
